According to Feodor Shandora, Uzhorod National University subdepartment completes the preliminary works before the launching of the Honey Touristic Route. The idea of its creating has been announced in 2008.

Occurrence of so called “apitourism” (honey tourism) was caused by the increasing number of bee enterprises, May and September Honey festivals, three zones of honey sampling (Mukachevo, Khust and Mezhyhirya districts), Bee monument (Vuchkove village) and a huge demand of the apiculture products.

The first novelty of 2010 touristic season is the opening of the First Museum Honey and Apiculture Products in Ukraine where you can attend the honey samplings and workshops.
